As the ancient book for the starting point, this thesis author from the perspective of art and fine arts began a study about this book.This study included different historical period ink-stones shape modelling, material, structure, shape and size changes, etc., and then make a series of arrangement and the related data statistics analysis. Basic statistical analysis of ink-stones aimed at reducing ink-stone itself unique culture temperament and character, and analyzing the relationship between ink-stone designing and the aesthetic taste of men of letters under the cultural background.The most important of all, the author tried to analyze the ink-stone culture statuin the Chinese civilization, then summed up how much value of the Book of Ink-stones, which was prefaced by Emperor Qianlong and made in Xiqing in the ink-stone culture research.
