As one of the four treasures of the study, ink-stone has always been taken seriously since ancient times. From the aristocratic people to the general public not only as a practical items, more can see it as a kind of arts and crafts. In addition, ink-stone has particular about material selection, sculpture to decorate exquisite craft and the shape design. About the ink-stone writings also along with the development of the ink-stone, and began to emerge in endlessly. However, No matter how abundant the ink-stone writings were, Book of Ink-stones, prefaced by Emperor Qianlong and made in Xiqing was known as the best. As the ancient book for the starting point, this thesis author from the perspective of art and fine arts began a study about this book.This study included different historical period ink-stones shape modelling, material, structure, shape and size changes, etc., and then make a series of arrangement and the related data statistics analysis. Basic statistical analysis of ink-stones aimed at reducing ink-stone itself unique culture temperament and character, and analyzing the relationship between ink-stone designing and the aesthetic taste of men of letters under the cultural background.The most important of all, the author tried to analyze the ink-stone culture statuin the Chinese civilization, then summed up how much value of the Book of Ink-stones, which was prefaced by Emperor Qianlong and made in Xiqing in the ink-stone culture research.
