Marc-André Hamelin,born on September5,1961, is aFrench Canadian pianist and composer, his performances around the world. Hisrecordings cover a variety of styles of composers, the blockbuster Chopin Etudesrecording Leopold Godowsky adaptation, and by virtue of the2000Grammy Awardfor Best Instrumental. Committed to the concern of the late19th century and20thcentury popular composer of playing, most of these composers both pianist andcomposer dual identity. Hamelin has also composed several works, including a set ofpiano etude in all of the minor keys, which was completed in September2009and ispublished by C. F. Peters, with a recording released on the Hyperion label. With thecapital of the sets of Etudes title, is a set of artistic and technical high degree ofintegration of the concert etude, which six etudes the Hamelin original and the othersix tracks adaptations of other composers. In this paper, the analysis of the Hamelintwelve minor Etude and its playing techniques, facilitate others to understand andplay a set of works.
