| As an academic focus, the modal adverb "bijing" tends to be an important and difficult point in the teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Based on the linguistic data and researches from daily teaching, overseas students have not grasped the usage of "bijing", let alone use it in daily communication.Great attention has been paid on and significant accomplishment has been achieved in the semantic and pragmatic studies of "bijing" and the comparison studies with other adverbs. However, the practical teaching researches of "bijing" lags behind, which causes the disconnection of the theories and practices. How to effectively teach "bijing" is still needed further studies in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. For this reason, the author collected authentic corpus materials from HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus and questionnaires distributed to overseas students in Shaanxi Normal University as the sources of the error analysis, and tried to summarize some plain teaching suggestions on "bijing" based on practical teaching process. This thesis is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction, which gives a review on the research background and theoretical foundation of this thesis.The second part is the relative researches of "bijing", which includes the records, evolution and overview of the studies of "bijing".The third part describes the error patterns of the usage of "bijing". Based upon the error analysis methods, the author summarized three main error patterns out of the reasons of inappropriate usage:confusion with other words, omitting of "bijing", and wrong addition of "bijing".The fourth part analyzes the reasons of inappropriate usage of "bijing". The author analyzed the reasons from the following aspects:negative transfer on native language, negative transfer on target language, the defects of teaching materials and the influences of teachers’ teaching methods.The fifth part includes the suggestions upon the teaching of "bijing", mainly from the prospective of the textbook compilation and teaching methods of teachers.The final part is the conclusion of the author, which mainly states the research value of this thesis. This thesis not only summarized the error patterns of the misusage of "bijing", but also came up with some suggestions, in which the author hoped to make a contribution to the researches of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. |
