On The Eco Heaney Poetry

This paper designed to interpret Heaney’s poetry writing from ecological aspects on the whole. In the paper, on the premise of the poet’s childhood and its born as an Irish writer influenced by the cultural tradition, the author analyzes the ecological elements in Heaney’s poems based on the Irish countryside, farmers, as well as the nationality. Then it further discusses a mysterious creative inspiration advocated by the poet himself and the balanced poetics ideas contained in the poems. Under the setting up of a variety of artistic techniques, Heaney constructs another centre of the world——omphalos——a colonial opposed to Ireland’s history, then complete an ecological way of writing in the poetry.The full thesis is divided into four parts principally.Part1, The ideological origin of Heaney’s ecological poetry writing. This part mainly explores the ideological origin of his ecological poetry writing on the basis of Heaney’s childhood experiences and his Irish culture inheritance, which laid the foundation of the further study of ecological poets poetry written below.Part2, The multiple elements of Heaney’s ecological poetry writing. In combination with Heaney’s poems, essays, and reviews, this part mainly analyzes the country life of Ireland and the whole life of the farmers in it. Then after that, it rises to the enrichment of Irish national spirit, which shows the multiple elements of Heaney’s ecological poetry writing.Part3, The multidimensional concept of Heaney’s ecological poetry writing. This chapter mainly starts off from the poet who holds a mysterious poetry creation inspiration as well as his own balance concept of poetics. Then with the double deconstruction of the traditional binary opposition and absolute anthropocentrism, Heaney constructs another centre of the world omphalos, and complete Ecological writing in the poetry.Part4, The artistic expression of Heaney’s ecological poetry writing. This is the last section of this paper. This part mainly summarizes a variety of artistic techniques of Heaney’s poetry writing, then further discusses an ecological way of writing in the poetry.
