| The thesis focuses on the evaluation research of public programs of artmuseums. Compared to China, western art museums have done much theoreticalresearch and practical work. The methodology of evaluation work is of the mostimportant in evaluation practice. Therefore, the thesis tries to introduce, analyze and research three evaluationmethodologies often used in art museums. Derived from normal school teachingevaluation research, Concept Mapping has some merits in evaluating public programsin museums, but it seems not that appropriate. Personal Meaning Mapping shares thesame base with Concept Mapping, but it fits itself with the free-choice circumstancesin art museums. Invented by Leicester University, GLOs was meant to provide asystem of analyzing data gathered during evaluation work. Combined with theorypresentation, several case studies are involved in the thesis to introduce how eachmethod is being used in real evaluation researches. Given that there are a great deal ofdiscussions over evaluation research, some more problems need to be solved in thefuture. |
