Foreign debt as an important part of the foreign capital in modern China, it has a very important influence on the modern Chinese politice, economic and culture. As The early years of the Republic of China face so many financial difficulties, external borrowing became an inevitable measure. As one of the biggest foreign debts, after-largest borrower, it has a significant impact on the Early Period of the Republic of society and future generations of Chinese. In history, Aftermath borrowing has a lot of controversy, this paper attempts to sort out this historic event, analysis of the historical conditions of the Aftermath borrowing, and make an objective understanding on the Aftermath of borrowing in modern Chinese history. Further more,there are a more in-depth and objective understanding of the Early Republic of China and the Yuan Shikai government during the reign of Chinese society.The paper is divided into six parts:Chapter first, Introduction. First, a brief background about the topic of the thesis, including the definition of external debt,an overview of modern China’s foreign debts, and the importance of research on the effects of foreign debt history. Second, A brief description of the implications for research, results of previous studies and the method of this research.Chapter second, the financial position of the beginning of the Republic of China. The central government’s fiscal position in the early years of the Republic, as the starting point, highlights the impacts of the financial problems of the outbreak of the Revolution of1911and the early Republican Council,combined with the necessity and urgency of the domestic and international environment on government external borrowing description.Chapter third, Aftermath borrowing’s difficult negotiations. The Aftermath borrowing negotiateion has going on year-long, and has many variations during the negotiation,.In this chapter, the author attempts to detailed combing through the negotiation process of Aftermath borrowing, and strive to restore the historical truth.Chapter fouth, Aftermath borrowing’s impact and evaluation. In this chapter the main through the aftermath borrowings objective analysis, And then he aftermath of large borrowings new evaluation and understanding.
