Simultaneous English Speech Rhythm Control Strategy

With the application of the rhythm control strategy, this thesis concentrates on thestudy of simultaneous interpretation in the context of the English speech from theanalysis of rhythms, which include the natural rhythm on the phonetic level and themeaning rhythm on the meaning level of both the source language and the targetlanguage. According to the specific context, corresponding control strategies of thenatural rhythm and the meaning rhythm will be adopted. The interpreter should swiftlyintegrate the source language information of the English speech and then give theoutput which is in accordance with Chinese thinking habits and expressions. Theapplication of the rhythm control strategy will not only be conducive to theimprovement of the simultaneous interpreting proficiency and the confidence, but alsoto the efficient communication between English and Chinese of simultaneousinterpretation in the context of the English speech.
