Business Plan Translation In Practice Report

Business plan is an indispensable guidance law in investment and financing. Ithas the function of project operation and capital operation, which perfectly showsinvestment value of the project, and fully expounds the operation of the projectresources, operation strategy, management strategy, business model and industrycompetition. Also, it is a “key” to get risk investment. The theoretical guidance of thistranslation task is Newmark’s text typology, and the translation strategies are semantictranslation and communicative translation. Based on the theoretical guidance andtranslation strategies, three cases of How to Write a Business Plan are translated. Basedon the comparison of the first and second version of the translation task, the authoranalyzes the feature of the business plan and concludes some useful translation methods.And this reflects the importance of the translation theory and translation strategy forimproving the quality of translation. Based on the characteristics like profession,accuracy and finality, this report applies translation methods like word formation,increase or decrease in translation and subject translation, and tries to summarize theexperience from the whole translation process. The author hopes this paper can make acontribution to helping other translation practice with the same type of text.
