In the year of2011, there arose a demonstration in a large scale in almost every city ofEgypt. The demonstration turned into a nationwide rebellion afterwards. In the end, thecitizens together with the opposition party overthrow the Mubarak authority. After that,Egypt had gone through the transition to democracy including the process of temporarygovernment, the election of president, the draft of new constitution. In the democratictransition, the Muslin brotherhood stood out and acted an important role including theestablishment of Freedom and Justice Party, chose Mulsi as the candidate and win thepresidential elections eventually, drafted new constitutions and declared to build ademocratic state. In my article, the political transition theory will be used mostly to demonstrate theweaken and collapse of the authoritarian government, the democratization, reversion andconsolidation of a emerging democratic state in order to clarify the reason of the collapse ofthe old regime and the process of the democratic transition, especially what an active roleMuslin brotherhood has acted in the transition process. Then we will analyse the transition ofthe role of Muslin brotherhood from a Extreme religious organization toward an politicalparty, from an opposition party to the ruling party. Therefore, a definite conclusion will bedrew if Muslin brotherhood have the ability to shoulder responsibility to leading Egypt andits people in the way to democracy.
