In order to provide "one-stop" public service,various city and departments in ourcounty have launched the government service hotline in recent20years. As animportant communication channel between the government and the public, thegovernment service hotline has been designed as a communication platform to providedifficulty solving, complains accepting and consulting service, to all of peoples,enterprises, institutions, specific groups and industries. The government service hotlineis an important manifestation to the transformation of government functions and thegovernment services innovation. The government service hotline has played animportant role in the construction of service-oriented government in China. But in theprocess of construction, there are still some problems restricting the improvement andthe development of the government service hotline. By using “the new public servicetheory” and “the whole government theory”,and taking the Zhuhai citizen servicehotline as an example, the paper systematically analyzed and studied the issues in theprocess of the government service hotline construction and integration. In order tosummarize experience, the paper has analyzed some typical government servicehotline by using the comparative analysis research method. The paper attempt topropose some targeted countermeasures and suggestions for the improvement anddevelopment of the Zhuhai citizen service hotline. On the same time, the paper attemptto provide some useful experience for the construction of other domestic citiy’sgovernment service hotline.
