The National medium and long-term educational reform and development plan has put forward clearly the development of vocational education. Do a good job of vocational education has become an important measure to improve the system of the modern vocational education in china. With more support from the government, the secondary vocational schools began to show a good momentum of development. However, with the influence of one-sided pursuit of traditional concept of education, the secondary vocational schools come across a lot of problems in their development. Such as, Social recognition is not high and the students lack of belonging.Students are the center of the teaching. Therefore, how to enhance the class cohesion in secondary vocational schools is not only to improve the quality of teaching and train junior technicians, more important is to let the students to get a healthy psychological development. Among them, cohesion of the class also has a great significance for English teaching and other professional skills courses teaching.This study takes two vocational classes of2012grade in Xuan’en Secondary Vocational and Technical school in Enshi city as the subjects of the research. One is a computer class and the other is an electronic class. This study has made a thorough analysis and a detailed description of the present condition on class cohesiveness of a secondary vocational school by means of questionnaire and interview, comparative and statistical analysis. On the basis of the study results and analysis, some principles of enhancing class cohesiveness and some feasible measures and suggestions are made to improve the class management.With the theoretical and practical method of combining pairs of classes in vocational schools to conduct in-depth analysis of the problems, it is found that student’s psychological inferiority, learning enthusiasm is not high, and the collective cohesion is not strong. It’s also found that insufficient attention from the class teacher and disorder in the class management. In view of the above problems, the paper has discussed the main factors affecting the class cohesion and points out that the main factor affecting the present class cohesion are the teacher’s leadership and the teaching method of teachers.To solve the above problem, this paper proposes countermeasures that include people-oriented philosophy as a guide in school and the establishment of democratic management system. It also point out that teachers should improve the quality of themselves and organize various collective activities to enhance the attraction of students.
