As a form of local culture, village culture is a concept which has the most explanatory power and general power of the social conditions in rural areas as well as the behavior of the people, it has an important significance for the members of the village with a strong binding, the women left behind are resident group of the villages, they are the main carrier of the village culture, their behaviors and roles are constrained more than other village people outside by village values and cultures, village culture as an important power in the daily life, dominated every aspect of their lives.By the qualitative research method, this paper selected a village to do an deep investigation through participatory observation and in-depth interviews.In order to get a comprehensive understanding of the normal life and women roles in the daily life in the village,and grasp the main cultural norms that could shape the roles.As well as try to explore the ways that village cultural norms influence women roles, and analyze how women construct their own roles under the influence of the village cultural norms. The main body of this article includes three parts.Firstly, discuss cultural norms which is closely linked with the villagers from the aspect of individual family and society level, and described cultural norms reasons of role shaping in the village mainly from the following five aspects:the life ethical, intergenerational ethics, working culture, communication and gender specification; Secondly, explore the construction and adjustment of women role under the situational constraints of village culture. Starting from an individual case, this section discuss women normal roles in daily life from family and community level, to bring out the structural factors behind the thinking about the present situation of women roles. This part analyze women roles from family and public level. At the family level, mainly discusses the village the life ethics, labor culture, intergenerational ethics for women in their families, couples, and the role of parent-child relationship. At the social level, mainly discussed the interaction of ethics and village gender norms for women in personal interaction and the role of public participation. Thirdly, put forward the conclusion and thinking based on the previous part and give the related suggestions.This research mainly draw the following conclusions:women in traditional villages deeply engraved with the role of village culture, and the unconscious of women for their own subjectivity and passive role adaptation is strengthened the authority, women’ status is still relatively weak under the influence of the village culture. Particularly,In the individual and family level, one is the family role, women are still living in the village culture which is under the constraints of life ethic, the most important duties of their roles is beget children to carry on the family line.Another one is couple role, due to the influence of labor culture, most family husband outside the family the main economic responsibility in the village,"females in charge of the house affairs " as women have to do. Women have to commitment to family,and following the working spirit of diligent,always keep busy until lose labor ability. The third one is parent-child role, changes of intergenerational ethics in the village make women more helpless in intergenerational character, from the children depend on the dominant role into the passive role, women still have have expectations on pension issues but it doesn’t completely depend on his son. At the society level, in order to better into the village, ethics and the gender norms in the village culture influent women deeply.One is in the interpersonal roles, the role of women show low-key,practicality, enthusiasm and generous.Another one is exchanges circle between women in public life is relatively narrow and limited, and make them just have low enthusiasm of participation in public affairs. Cultural factors determine this level has not give women the free public space in the village, and bring about the role of women is insignificant in village public space.According to the conclusions of the article, the paper argues that:the development and implementation of countermeasures aimed at improving the status of women require a combination of village localized cultural norms. First of all, to build advanced gender culture, we should absorb the beneficial nutrients in the traditional culture, play a valuable factor in the traditional gender culture, develope the fine traditional culture in contemporary society and exemplary role on a new dimension; Secondly, raise the subjectivity awareness of women’s. Not only should we abandon factors suppress the role of women in traditional male culture, but also abandon the slave and passive factors in women’s culture, change the male culture change inherent in the village culture for women repression while change the awareness of women in the village culture in patriarchal ideology voluntary surrender; Finally, provide protection in policies and institution. Policies and laws should consider the actual needs of women in employment assistance and social security, the public system should raise women’s awareness of political participation and their rights, furthermore we should dig in some entertainment forms which are suitable for women to enrich the spiritual life of women.
