The current situation, the school for the protection and development of heritage and development, and intangible musical cultural heritage resources, plays an irreplaceable role. This paper uses the theory of intangible cultural heritage protection and heritage as the research base, combined with the basic theory of music curriculum and teaching, through questionnaires, interviews, data analysis and comparison of several commonly used music education of scientific research methods and middle school music teachers in Qinghai province Xining city students, field investigation, research and analysis investigation on Application of the development of local music resources in Qinghai city of Xining Province in middle school music teaching, according to the actual situation in Qinghai province for the development of local music in middle school teaching resources (such as:the development of local music curriculum, local music school-based teaching materials etc.) measures and advices are given accordingly. In order to provide methods and support theory more systematic and effective development and application of local music resources in middle school music teaching. Not only the development and application of local music resources make the local music culture has been the protection and inheritance of timely in middle school music teaching, is the national curriculum and local curriculum supplement, extension and perfection, the potential advantages of music culture resources into music culture development practical advantage.
