As a problem that cannot be ignored, social adaptation of junior middle school students attractedthe attention of more and more researchers. Junior middle school students are in the important periodfor the development of their life, and they are experiencing rapid changes physiologically andpsychologically during this period. The family, school and society bear unshirkable responsibility tostudy junior middle school students’ social adaptation condition and influencing factors, to adoptcorresponding measures, and to promote their development.The study is aimed at understanding the social adaptation situation of rural junior high schoolstudents, exploring the influencing factors of society adaptation, and providing some correspondingplans and measures as references against the social adaptation problem of rural junior high schoolstudents for family, school, and society. The sample is selected from BaiXiang country in Hebeiprovince, using stratified cluster sampling method. One from all the extraction of rural and town schools,randomly selected from each school, grade2, grade3as investigation object, using the questionnairemethod combined with the case study interviews. It is found that lots of factors affected the socialadaptation performance of junior middle school students,including students’ home address, parentseducational level, family parent-child relationship, family economic condition, academic achievement,attitude to take part in social activities, quantity of intimate partners, and recourse for help. It isimportant to note that the junior middle school students who grow up in poor environment have littledifference with ordinary junior middle school students. Concerning the coping styles, it showed a strongcorrelation between positive coping style and significantly positive social adaptation performance.Positive coping styles have significantly positive correlation with adaptation and adjustment scores.Negative coping styles have significantly negative correlation with adaptation and adjustment scores. Ifthe positive coping factor score is high, the social adaptation factor score is high, the negative copingfactor score is lower, and the factor of social adaptation is high.Concluded from these results of study: between each micro-environment of the self-life liveing inthere is a strong function complementarily between the micro systems. Incomplete growth environment,the individual with the right positive means of environment for the growth of compensation to make upfor a lack of micro-environment, so as to achieve normal growth conditions. The same time, the people’sinitiative decided the social adaptation of individuals’ not simply passive adaptation, but also proactiveself-adaptation. Individual interacts with the surrounding environment, and in this process, theindividual achieves physical and mental balance through their own positive action.
