| Dragon culture is the crystallization of thousands of years’civilization of the Chinese nation, it originated in the past,integrated the dynamic mainstream values and value orientation ofthe present and the future. It widely affects people’s thinking andbehavior as the existence of an ideology. The traditional cultureis the nation’s culture, which is a collection of the evolution ofcivilization and reflects of national character and style of thenational culture. It is the overall characterization of a varietyof ideological cultures and ideologies in the history of the nation.Dragon dance is a national traditional sporting event; it was oncea usual sacrifice performance activity for rain and has graduallydeveloped into a culture sport activity with entertainment, joy,fitness, competition and other functions. Modern dragon dancemovement developed on the basis of the traditional dragon dance. Itis a dragon dance routines competition, performed during certain timeat certain place with the accompaniment of music. It combines dragondance skills with actions including walking, running, jumping,turning, roll rotation and performs dragon’s swimming, passing,flying, turning, rolling, joy, through the dragon dancers’ bodymovement and changing of their postures.Due to the traditional ethnic sports education is old, lack ofinnovation, leading to the cultural inheritance faulting, young students and traditional ethnic sports dragon dance movementincreasingly disenchanted and walk further away from it. And dragondance movement major performs dragon’s laughter,anger, sorrow andhappiness, and has spectacles.It also show the traditional Chineseculture of momentum majestic dragon.This is symbol of Chinesepeople’s striving and enterprising spirit style. So the collegeshould strengthen students’ traditional ethnic sports dragon dancemovement of the education, on the one hand, good dragon dance movementfor students learning lay a good environment for receiving a goodcultural education foundation and the enrichment of the sportsculture; On the other hand, we can play its positive function andfoster talents with all-round development to make the contribution.Literature data method, questionnaire survey method, case studymethod, mathematical statistics methods have been adopted in thispaper. We have don thorough search on dragon dance in NanjingUniversity of science and technology by sent questionnaire takingthe four major functions of universities as the theoretical basisto students and faculty, analysis how the dragon practice four majorfunctions of university. This research has been designed to carryforward the dragon dance which is the Chinese nation’s traditionalsports culture project. The research result shows that:1、University is the central base of the culture spreading. Thenational traditional sports culture has been popularized based on university. Carry out the national traditional sports-dragon dancein the university can give full play to the advantages of theuniversity carrier. And the traditional national sports culture canmake greater contributions to the revitalization of the Chinesenation and to human civilization.2.Nanjing University of Technology and Engineering has won morethan10times the national championship honors since the dragon dancemovement is carried out, each campus also organized dragon dance teamwhich capable of a variety of grass-roots performers. In addition,there are about5000dragon dance enthusiasts since NanjingUniversity of Technology and Engineering open the dragon dance optionclass. College students are the messengers of cultural transmission,to some extent provides a broad mass base for the promotion of thedragon dance movement.3. The scientific research of the University of Dragon Dancingis weak, The articles, books of Dragon dance are less. The key pointof developing Dragon Dancing movement in universities is tostrengthen the research input.4. Nanjing University of Science and Technology practices fourmajor functions of universities by carrying out Dragon Dance movement.—personnel training, development of technology, social services,cultural heritage, all of them have got great progress, but it neededto be improved on economy, promotion, academic, Dragon Dance related industry and other aspects. |
