Reasons And Governing Countermeasures Research On Academic Misconducts In Chinese Universities

Presently, higher education is developing rapidly in China. We have obtained many achievements, meanwhile, had some problems. Academic misconduct is one of the problems. It has became one problem to resolve urgently. The media expose the academic misconduct incident repeatedly. The progress of science and technology provides the tools for academic dishonesty. Varieties of academic misconduct in the Sacred Colleges have aroused the concern of them. Therefore, the study of Academic misconduct is important for the governance of the college academic environment, to reshaping good academic atmosphere.The article is divided into five parts:The first chapter is the introduction. It explains the purposes and significances of the study, analyzes the domestic and international literature review, and introduces the contents,methods, and the innovation of the article. The second inspects the summarization of researching on the reasons and governing countermeasures academic misconducts in Chinese universities, defines the concept of academic, academic standards, and academic misconduct. It introduces the theoretical basis of this article, including humanity hypothesis theory, principal-agent theory and governance theory. In the third chapter, depending on the theory, it analyses the behavior, harms and reasons of the academic misconducts in Chinese universities. The fourth chapter takes countermeasures to solve the academic misconducts in Chinese universities from personal, school, society, government. Firstly, publicizing widely creates a healthy academic atmosphere. Secondly, strengthening education improves the individual’s academic accomplishment; thirdly, improving the system creates a good academic norm. Finally, strengthening supervision eliminates the poor academic behavior. The last chapter summarizes the contents of this paper.This paper bases on humanity hypothesis theory and principal-agent theory to analyze the reasons of the academic misconducts which includes literature and comparative analysis. Finally, come up with the governance of Academic misconduct countermeasures.
