Since the implementation of The New Curriculum Reform, it received the positive response in all directions. The state is no longer the implementation of a highly unified national curriculum, but the implementation of the three curriculum management system. It pays more attention to the development and utilization of local resources. The development and utilization of curriculum resources become a highlight of The New Curriculum Reform. Because of its special nature of the course, politics class of senior middle school should pay more attention to the development and utilization of local resources.This paper mainly adopts Documentary Research, Survey Research, Interviewing Method, and Logical Induction. In this paper, the analysis of the research on the development and utilization of local resources in politics class in Linyi focuses on learning about the present situation, analyzing the problems, exploring the causes of the problems, and proposing strategies in the practice finally. This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction. This part mainly discusses the significance, the purposes and the methods of research on the development and utilization of local resources in politics class in Linyi. Besides, the relevant researches both at home and abroad are reviewed.Part two; basic concept such as local, resources, local resources, local curriculum resources, and local curriculum resources of politics class are defined. Reasons of the development and utilization of local resources on politics class are analyzed mainly from two aspects of theory and reality. From theoretical aspect, the educational theories of Dewey, Xingzhi Tao, and Heqin Chen are mainly introduced. From reality, it contains the disadvantages of the national curriculum, new curriculum demands, the ideological and political course nature and present situation, the college entrance examination proposition trend in recent years, the significance of the development and utilization of local resources, and so on.Part three; the present situation of the development and utilization of local resources on politics class in Linyi are discussed. Firstly, a questionnaire survey of local curriculum resource utilization was conducted, from which the achievements as well as the main problems are reflect, then various reasons from the social, national, school, teachers’perspectives are analyzed.Part four; it focuses on the basic strategy of the development and utilization of local resources on politics class in Linyi. First, the basic principles of the development and utilization of local resources are discussed; Then the basic approaches of the development and utilization of local resources on politics class in Linyi are discussed; Lastly, the issues that attention need be paid in the development and utilization of local resources are discussed.At present, researches of curriculum resources on politics class, especially of local curriculum resources in Linyi are lack. So this paper choose Linyi city as a research object. This paper follows the basic spirit of the new curriculum reform. It is committed to the development and utilization of local resources, and targeted in the politics class. The purpose is to serve the politics teaching. The research of the development and utilization of local resources takes Linyi city of Shandong Province as an example. It is designed to solve the problems of local resources idle, to enrich curriculum resources of politics class, and to improve the politics teaching effectiveness. It has a great significance on establishing the scientific outlook of curriculum resources and promoting curriculum reform of politics class.
