The New Curriculum Course Reform and the Quality-oriented Education arecalling for a transformation in the present Politics teaching from knowledge-centeredtowards student-centered, and an extension of the teaching content from pure bookknowledge to social life, so as to cultivate senior high school students’ inner qualitiesand train their comprehensive abilities. Case Teaching Method has eradicated thedefects of the traditional didactic teaching and it effectively combines the politicaltheory with practice. This teaching method enables students to think and analyzepolitical problems in a concrete situation, thus enhancing their learningability.Therefore, the introduction of Case Teaching Method to senior high schoolPolitics course is of great significance to the promotion of Politics Teaching Reformand the Quality-oriented Education.Based on the above points of view, this paper will give a study from thefollowing four aspects: Part One analyzes the status-quo of Case Teaching Methodused in the study at home and abroad.The definition of case Traching Method. PartTwo expounds the significance of case Teaching Method in senior high school politicsteaching. Part Three discussthe teaching design of case teaching.Part Four treatisesthe teaching procedures case presentatios、group-discussion、view-exchanging inclass summary and evalution of case Teaching method,which based on itspractical.appliance.This study of the combination of case teaching Teaching Method and politicscourse aims at the continuous improvement and development of case teachingMethod in politics practice and application.
