For20years, China’s GDP has increased much, but residents’ life satisfaction didnot therefore be promoted, but dropped. Easterlin’s explanation is that China’seconomic prosperity intensifies the social change, but people’s basic guarantee in job,income, retirement, medical, etc, have all become a variable, therefore, even if theeconomy income increased, it also can not meet the people about the future of anxiety.China is a large agricultural country, rural population accounts for most, since China’sreform and opening up, the rural residents did not fully share the fruits that economicdevelopment brings, so study on rural residents life satisfaction factors andmechanism plays an important role to take the lead in accomplishing JiangSuprovince modernization process in2020.Based on2100questionnaires of Jiangsu countryside residents’s life satisfaction,this paper is divided into five chapters, and take all kinds of empirical method to makea systematic research on the rural residents life satisfaction:The first chapter is introduction. Summarize this research’s background andsignificance, and put forward the technical route, and explain the research methods inthis paper. The rural residents’s well life satisfaction takes an important part for ourprovince taking the lead in realizing comprehensive construction well-off society andtwo modernization, therefore, by the psychology, economics, sociology and statisticsintegrated view and reference literature review at home and abroad, make systematicresearch in the rural residents’ life satisfaction on the basis of in the field survey.The second chapter is index system establishment and questionnaire processing.This chapter mainly includes two parts: one part is to establish life satisfaction indexsystem that is conform to the rural residents’s actual situation; The other part is toprocess the questionnaires statistics project.The third chapter is the new rural residents’ life satisfaction situation. Byevaluation of the rural residents’ life satisfaction, which included economy, job, health,family, interpersonal relationship, social, environmental and agricultural facilities, etc.The results prove that:1. the differences between income distribution of subjectiveand objective show that JiangSu countryside is in the state of social unharmony.2.General life satisfaction is in close to "satisfied" levels: Different areas to see, the lifesatisfaction level in the middle area in JiangSu was the highest, the second is in the southern area in JiangSu, the last is in the northern area in JiangSu. Different life fieldto see, economy, job and rural environment satisfaction degree is relatively low;Different group to see, the rural residents, who are married, having children and job,is the most urgent to pursuit higher quality of life.The fourth chapter is influencing factor analyses on life satisfaction. First of all,analyze the possible existing significant influence between rural residents’ individualcharacteristics and their general life satisfaction; Secondly, by SEM, study incomeand non-income effect on the residents life satisfaction. The results show: Firstly, ruralresidents’s education, income, living area, whether land-lost, whether graduallyland-lost, residence length and the opinion of socialism has significant influence onresidents’s life satisfaction; Secondly, the income comparison phenomenon mostintensely affect on life satisfaction, far outweigh the absolute income level influencethe life satisfaction. Lateral comparison effect is greater than the longitudinalcomparison effect, and in the non-income effect, family satisfaction is the mostsignificant factor on the rural residents’s general life satisfaction.The fifth chapter, results and prospect. Summarize the main conclusions, andputs forward policy related suggestions and the idea of subsequent research topic.
