Exploration Of Professional Development For Outstanding Schoolmasters

The deep development of basic education must rely on the good quality education andschools. Outstanding primary schoolmasters are the guiders and promoters for the goodquality schools. In today’s educational reality of the intense demand for teacherprofessionalization, schoolmasters inevitably become a profession. The professionalization ofschoolmaster is the premise of the development of teachers and schools. Research on theprofessionalization development for outstanding schoolmasters has great significance topromote the development of school and achieve the ambitious goal of basic education reform.On the basis of the concepts of the profession and professionalization of schoolmaster, takingMadam L. as an example, the author describes professional growing experience of a primaryschool headmaster by using education narrative research from several dimensions such as life,role, affection and intelligence. Thereby, the significance of headmaster professionalizationand the inevitable result of a headmaster professionalized development that “Where there is agood headmaster, there is a good school” are interpreted.This thesis is composed of five parts.The first part is an introduction, including the reasons for the selection of research, thesignificances and methods of the research.The second part is the theoretical support of this research, which explained thetheoretical start point of this research by analyzing the contents of professionalization andprofessionalization of schoolmaster.The third part is a brief introduction of Madam L and P school which is in her charge.The fourth part is a narrative research that elaborates the professionalizationdevelopment of schoolmaster through the description of the professionalized process ofMadam L.In the fifth part, the author reveals the professionalized impacts of schoolmaster bydescribing the changes of primary school P led by the professionalization of Madam L.
