With the deepening of the new curriculum reform, autonomous learning, cooperativelearning and inquiry learning began to enter the classroom. A variety of "activity" column intextbook is a way to implement the new curriculum idea. Through the set of "activities", itcan guide teachers to change their teaching methods, on the other hand, cultivate thestudents’ interest in learning geography. However, due to the lack of enough attention tothe "activities", the implementation effect of activity teaching is not very ideal. So, howto teaching in a variety of "activities" of the organization and implementation is the focus ofthis inquiry. Starting from the activities of teaching theory at home and abroad and theteaching practice of high school geography textbooks, this article firstly discusses the use ofthe "activities" section in high school geography textbooks, and then puts forward the"strategy" to implement "activities" section, in order to provide the basis for teaching.This article is divided into nine parts: the first part is the foreword briefly introducing thepurpose of this research. The second part mainly introduces the research status at home andabroad, the reasons why proposing problems. The third part introduces the basic theory of the"activities" research and analyzes the significance of the study. The "activity" teaching canimprove the students’ interest in learning, but also help students form geographical thinkingability and help the new curriculum reform smoothly. The fourth part introduces the researchideas and methods. The research method is mainly literature research, questionnaire, casestudy and experience summary method. The fifth part introduces the characteristics of HunanEducation Press’s geography compulsory course, and analyzes the present situation of designfor "activities" column. The sixth part is the analysis of attitudes about "activities" fromteachers and students, it also proposes the existing problems in the implementation of"activities" column. The seventh part results in the "activities" content investigation, putsforward the strategies and recommendations for activities in the implementation of the"activities" content. The eighth part is the method and case for the efficient use of HunanEducation Press’s three "activity". The ninth part is a conclusion. Through the research we canconclude that the activity teaching is an important teaching mode, we should redesign the "activities", we should increase the students’ practical activities in various forms.
