This paper on the background of the change of geography education in our country overthe recent30years, with time as the main line, explores the revolution in teaching content,teaching methods and teaching evaluation of “the Yangtze river basin” in different periods.Through it analyzes and concludes the geography textbooks, geography curriculum standard(syllabus), the reference teaching books and related works about30years in our country,improving the cognition of the development of geography education. At the same time, it alsointroduces some thoughts and suggestions to compiles geography textbooks, improveteaching methods and perfects teaching evaluation, so that makes better service for geographyteaching practice.The article is divided into seven parts: first, introduction; second, the revolution ofgeography education in our country over the recent30years; third, the reform anddevelopment of teaching contents in “Yangtze river basin”; forth, the evolution of teachingmethods in “Yangtze river basin”; fifth, the reform and development of teaching evaluation in“Yangtze river basin”; sixth, the thoughts and suggestions of teaching transformation in“Yangtze river basin”; Seventh, conclusion.The first part, it mainly introduces the selected topic basis and research significance ofthis article, the main content of research, basic method and the research ideas, put forward theinnovation and deficiencies of the paper, and outlines the research situation at home andabroad of geography education over the recent30years.The second part introduces the time background of research, which is geographyeducation reform in our country over the recent30years, the development of geographyeducation can be divided into three stages, namely the recovery period of geographyeducation in1978-1985; the reflection period of geography education in1986-2000; theinnovation period of geography education since2001.It mainly discusses the evolution of thegeography education thoughts and education system.The third part mainly discusses the transformation of geography textbooks in our countryover the recent30years and teaching content of “Yangtze river basin” in different periods. Itanalyzes the changes in version, written form and content of geography textbooks in differentperiods. It also makes a detailed comparison and analysis in teaching sections, content selection, language and charts of textbooks and the evolution of human-environment relationwhich is reflected from teaching content about “Yangtze river basin”.It researches the reform of geography teaching method in our country over the recent30years and the changes of geography curriculum standard (syllabus) in the fourth part. It digsdeep into the specific changes of teaching methods about “Yangtze river basin” in works andteaching reference books in different periods.The fifth part respectively makes an analysis and induction about the changes of teachingevaluation in works and geography curriculum standard (syllabus).And it summarizes theevolution of teaching evaluation about “Yangtze river basin” in geography textbooks andteaching reference books.The sixth part puts forward thoughts and suggestions about the teaching content,teaching methods, teaching evaluation about “Yangtze river basin” through the above analysis.And teaching content must be updated; teaching methods should be kept pace with the Times;teaching evaluation should be combined with a variety of methods and the complete teachingevaluation system should be constructed.The last part of this article summarizes the main content, it finds the theory study slip outof practical teaching, it should strengthen pertinence theory research; strengthen theconstruction of teachers and the development and utilization of geography curriculumresources.
