Along with the economic development and social transformation, the marital relation in china increasingly becomes unstable. There are many research of marriage in china, but most of them focus on divorce rate, divorce reason, divorce trend. One important study group-rural young women are ignored, even in the research of marital problems in rural areas, compared to the other big group-left-behind women and migrant workers. What are the characteristics, processes and affecting factors of their marital split? Who can they ask for help after divorce? What is the reason of the low stability of their marriage? With these questions the author has done a field research in a selected village in northern Jiangsu Province.This article aims at discovering the process of the marital split of the rural young women and their dilemma after divorce by interviews and sorting of data, and offering them some useful suggestion for their marriage plight through social work perspectives and social work methods. This survey also reveal the necessity and practical significance of the social workers intervention because of the high divorce rate of rural people, and the lack of legal assistance and social support of the rural young women.
