Adolescence is the main period to develop physical fitness and basic technique. Thetraining during this period is a long-term task that is considered important and possessesstrategic significance. We use the athletes in teams of29provinces and cities that participatein the2012National U16women’s basketball game as a sample, and conduct statistics andanalysis of the data of physical fitness and basic technical tests. We discover the differencesin athletes’ physical fitness and basic technique and uncover the problems existed in thetraining so that we can understand the overall development of the athletes’ physical fitnessand basic technique and their training situations and provide theoretical references for theyoung Chinese women basketball athletes’ selection, the development of the selection methodas well as the training scheme. And finally this thesis provides reference and makesvaluable suggestions to improve the work of youth basketball training work in china.Conclusion:According to the “Handbook of Technical Evaluation for Young basketball playersphysical fitness and General Administration of Sport” that promulgated by the GeneralAdministration of Sport in2012, we use the342athletes (age15-16) in teams of29provinces andcities that participate in the2012National U16women’s basketball game as a sample, undertakes testsagainst the their physical quality and basic skills assessment. The research methods of literature study,measurement, statistical analysis are used in the analyzing, and the tests include8physicalquality tests and4basic technical evaluation tests.1.The physical fitness tests results of the national U16Women’s Basketball athletes: thescores of trunk bending forward, full court and3/4court shuttle run, hip rotation are above70;the scores of15m×17shuttle, duplex skipping are above60; the scores of sit-ups andstanding long jump, reach jump are less than60; Basic skills test scores, full court dribblingand passing and hexagon drill are above70, while5steps back shot and the full court attackand defense technology simulation are below60.2. Among those mentioned above, the South athletes’scores of sit-ups,15m×17shuttle,standing reach, hip rotation(P<0.01)are better than the North’s. The North athletes’scores of duplex skipping, full court and3/4court shuttle are better than the South’s.3.The South athletes’ scores of hexagon drill(P<0.01)are better than the North’s, butthe scores of full court attack and defense technology,5steps back shot simulation(P<0.01),are worse than the North’s.4. Among those mentioned above, the guards’ scores of duplex skipping, full court and3/4court shuttle(P<0.01)are better than forwards’. As to the scores of hip rotation,forwards’ are better than the centers’, the centers’ are better than the forwards(’P<0.05)andthe guards’ are better than the forwards’(P<0.01).Results:1. Generally speaking, the athletes are with good speed, flexibility, endurance, explosiveforce, but weak in waist and abdomen core strength and explosive force of the lower limbs,and athletes from north distract are better in endurance, strength, flexibility. Athletes fromsouth distract have better neural response capability and sensitivity. The sensitivity, rapidresponse capability, leg strength, lumbar muscle control ability and rhythm of the centers arerelatively low.2. Athletes’ stability of shooting and the comprehensive ability of dribbling are relativelyweak. Athletes from the North are better than the south in aspects of running, flexibility, ballcontrolling, pass and catch technique, speed endurance and psychological quality. Howeverthe south athletes have better moving and dribbling abilities, handle skills and their stabilityof standing shooting technology are stronger. The ability to center the line between athletetransport, communication, investment and technology as well as awareness of the rapidmovement of poor defense conversion can not be a good technique to complete the basicmovements to guard better athletes on the shooting and stability.
