With the rapid development of the modern tennis,the athletes’technical and tacticalare moving in the direction of comprehensive development. Previously serve-return wasrarely taken seriously, but it has occupied an important position in the modern trainingand competition. Then serve-return as a point to start receiving side of the game, itsdevelopment and application of skills and tactics to win the next point and even thewhole game is becoming more and more important.In this study, I use literature, video observation, ecpert interviews, comparativeanalysis and other research methods. For2009-2013past5years has been ranked firstofficial ATP seven of Djokovic, Nadal, Murray, Federer then sent for analysis at thetactical skills of the four Grand Slam semi-finals and finals. The following conclusions:1The usage of backhand technique is higher forehand attack both on first orsecond serve-return in the duce court or advantage court. From the socring rate analysis,forehand scoring rate is higher than backhand.2When facing to the first serve, defensive stroke and slice are the foremostapproach. Stroke is the foremost in the second serve. In terms of scoring rate, stroke issignificantly higher than defensive stroke and slice.3Whatever it is connected to the first serve or the second serve of the outer corners,middles and inside corners, the approach of serve-return usage follows in descendingorder of stroke, defensive stroke and slice.4The highest use of serve-return is back up to the middle road. On the scoring rate,the slash and straight are higher than the middle road.5Generally the highest placement of serve-return is back up to the aftercourt, andthen is midfieleder, the last one is frontcourt. But while returning the first serve, themidfielder is much higher than aftercourt. 6According to the analysis of the first shot field potential, the passive fieldpotential is maximum in the first reserve, the balance field potential is foremost in thesecond serve. Return road of the field potential analysis results back up to the slash ishighest advantage field potential. The placement of the field potential anslysis resultsback up to the after court is highest advantage potential.7Different field potentials have different return roads and placements of thesecond shot: the advantage field potential is minaly back up to slash and aftercourt, thebalance field potential is minaly back up to middle road and aftercourt, the passive fieldpotential is minaly back up to middle road and midfielder.
