Currently, there is a prominent phenomenon that the left-behind students in Secondary Vocational schools are becoming trouble-makers. Schools, families and the whole society should take some related measures to help those students to have better development. The thesis applied the Social Support Rating Scale to300left-behind students in Secondary vocational schools to analyze the relationship between their social support and study performance. It turns out that there are a disparity of grades and gender in terms of their social support and a disparity of social support in terms of different levels of study performance. Related analysis indicate that the social support acquisition of left-behind students is closely linked to academic performance.On such basis, we approach the phenomenon from the aspects of the absence of parents influencing the study performance, the lack of related school education failing to make full use of social support; the students’ lack of reasonable self-knowledge and self-efficacy making the poor use of social support. Then, the thesis combines the education theory and practice from five aspects, namely, making the joint efforts from both families and schools to improve the objective support; students developing the correct cognition to enhance subjective support; schools valuing related teaching to strengthen the use of social support; schools prioritizing the mental health education to promote the students’ self-efficacy; adjusting the students’studying methods to rouse their positive attitude, to change the Second vocational Schools students problems with their academic performance which is resulted by the deficiency of social support and so as to make the Second vocational system reflect on its current education principles, teaching behaviors and provides the theoretical and empirical basis to change the old education concept, improve the academic performance and teaching efficacy and acceptable ways to strengthen the students’study motives and academic performance.The last part is the conclusion. The research ideas, research structure are summarized and reviewed, reflect the inadequacies of the study, pointed out the direction for further study of the problem.
