Population aging not only has a profound influence on China’s economy, society, political situation, culture, but also bring a series of problems to the elderly themselves. As the growth of the age, the elderly suffer from decline in various tissues and organs function, weak balance ability and other problems such as motor function decline in the aging process. These problems are easy to cause the elderly to fall, other diseases or even death. For the elderly, a reduction in the ability to balance is the threat to the elderly health. Aiming at the status quo, this thesis resorts to all sorts of methods which strengthen the physique of the middle-aged, improve the balance ability of the middle-aged and the old, delay the senescence of the middle-aged and the old These methods are particularly important. Popular calisthenics as one of physical exercise sports projects is different from the track and field, ball games, have the characteristics of "artificial". It forms of exercise can according to need, the creation of human action to practice, so as to improve the elderly’s system, the function of the organs, tissues, is a multi-function, high value of sports. This research combines the characteristics of mass aerobics projects with the older women’s own physical and mental characteristics, and uses the literature material, questionnaire survey method, test method, mathematical statistics and other research methods to compare the balance ability of those who often attend mass aerobics exercise with those who do not do any exercise. The research aims to reveal the positive effect of public aerobics on the balance of elderly women and provide theoretical help for the middle-aged and old women to delay senescence, prevent falls, improve their quality of life and reference for older women to choose programs suitable for their fitness. The research has a certain practical significance to the development of the national fitness campaign and improvement of the health level. The results of the study:(1)Studies have shown that balance ability and age have a certain correlation that the balance declines long with the age growth and the balance loss of the elderly is more significant than that of the middle-aged.(2)Research shows that the static balance ability of the older women who often attend mass aerobics exercise is better than those who do not attend, which illustrates that the mass aerobics exercise can improve the static balance ability of the middle-aged and old women and can delay the static balance ability decline of the middle-aged and old women.(3)Research shows that the vestibular sense, proprioception, and lower limb muscle strength of the older women who often attend mass aerobics exercise is better than those who do not participate in exercise, which shows that mass aerobics exercise can relieve the declining dynamic balance ability of the middle-aged and old women and increase their stability.(4)Research shows that the lower limb mass, hip, knee and ankle are stronger than those who do not attend aerobics exercise, which can effectively improve the dynamic balance ability of the elderly women.
