There are a lot of precise positioning in the daily life, such as GPS,infrared, and base station positioning. But constrained by the limitations of the underground environment, the above positioning cannot be applied to underground locomotive positioning system. Currently, underground locomotive positioning is still using the traditional directly human communicate method to report its position to the monitoring system on the ground, consuming large amounts of human and financial resources, it has the shortcomings of human error, the real-time poor, poor positioning accuracy and so on. Compared with other developed countries, our country ’s underground locomotives positioning technology has a long way to walk.Due to the shortcomings of traditional locomotive positioning shortcomings as well as the character of RFID strongly anti-jamming capability, this paper put forward the underground locomotive positioning and monitoring system based on RFID. System using RFID technology, combined with the Zigbee networking technology, ultrasonic technology locate locomotive and transmit the location information to the ground by wireless, it has a high positioning accuracy, anti-interference ability and broad prospects.This paper first introduces the background and significance of the topic, analysis our current underground positioning and its Shortcomings. Making a Comparison with the foreign’locomotive positioning technology, it shows the backwardness of ours and the development of the importance and urgency. Secondly, paper introduces the components of the RFID, its working principle and anti-collision algorithm. Later, on the basis of the existing tag anti-collision algorithm, proposes a new anti-collision algorithm, In order to verify the superiority of the performance, we does simulation in environment of Matlab. Then, the paper describes general scheme of the system and work step, analysis the design of the system’s hardware and software. Finally, set up and debug the model of the system to validate the feasibility.
