The Study Of China Youth Daily’s Filial Piety Culture Reports(2006.7-2012.6)

The Filial Piety Culture is an important part of Chinese Traditional Culture. In China,there goes an old saying:“Hundred good, Filial first”. Today, the Filial Piety’sdevelopment is not only concern about individual moral, social spirit, but also concernabout national culture deposits. Moreover, it has great significance to the construction ofnational image under the globalization. In recent years, our country devote to build theSpiritual Civilization and the Powerful Cultural Country, so constantly to reconstructionof Traditional Culture especially inherit and innovate the spirit of the traditional FilialPiety Culture’s is very important for our country’s development. Therefore, reflect andstudy the Filial Piety Culture’s inheritance and innovation in modern China has greatfunction to promote our Country’s progress.China Youth Daily is the central newspaper of the Communist Youth LeagueCommittee, possess great authority and credibility in our nation. Youth groups are themainly target audience of China Youth Daily. Fitly, young people are the main force ofpractice of filial piety culture. So, choose the China youth daily for my study’s samplesource can effectively reflect the status of Chinese Filial Piety Culture’s development andits potential.This paper takes six years reports of the China Youth Daily from July2006to June2012as my study of Filial Piety Culture, totally achieved152effective samples. Theauthor started her study from six aspects of the reports which she collected as follow: thequantity, the theme, the form distribution, the layout and the angles, then, combined withthe relevant theory of journalism and communication to analyses the Filial Piety Culture’scurrent situation. On this basis, according to the connotation and performance of FilialPiety Culture, combined with the China Youth Daily’s reports, discovered four majoradvantage features of the Filial Piety Culture’s reports: regard youth groups as standardreports; diverse report forms,; strong education orientation and distinct politicalimprint.Compared With other newspapers media, network media, television media’sreports of Filial Piety Culture, found the China Youth Daily’s reports also have four majordisadvantages: the mode of report is conservative; the cognitive horizon isone-dimensional; the agenda setting is imbalance and the thinking path is unitary. Finally,use dual thinking on news reporting and the news media to explore strategies toameliorate the Filial Piety Culture reports. From the aspect of news report, by improvingthe reports of the Filial Piety Culture’s frequency; broaden the coverage of reports;excavate the depth of he Filial Piety Culture reports can improve the Filial Piety Culturereport’s attraction. From the aspects of media, can make full use of the networkconnection to widen the channel of the Filial Piety Culture’s report; make full use of themicro blog forces close to the audience needs and promote the media fusion to constructthe Filial Piety Culture industry to expand the influence of Filial Piety Culture, alsopromote the pace of modern Filial Piety Culture’s inheritance.
