Through years of construction, complete police informationization system hasbeen formed. However, due to the insufficient support provided by front-line policeconstables in outdoor police site, various mobile police terminals emerge as the timesrequire.Nevertheless, due to the confidentiality of police-system application device, theresearch on it seldom involved product designer, thus, despite the powerful supportfrom built-in software system, the absent humanized design of external hardwarecomposition has resulted in users’ puzzles and obstacles in cognition and operation.Since the first generation of mobile police terminal co-researched and co-developedby the Public Security Bureau in Zhejiang Province and Shenzhen Xinyi Technologieswas put into the trial, the users’ frank critical feedback promoted the opportunity ofsetting up this research project.The design aims at replying, to reply to people’s demand and user’s way of act.Based on the systematic planning of "man, event, site, object", starting from theanalysis of user demand and the study on use behavior, this paper tries to conductclassificatory analysis of this product’s multifunctional configuration and carry outmodularization summarization and sequence sorting out, so as to reply to differentpolice classifications’ demand for mobile police office; with a focus on theconsideration of details such as the product appearance, cognition, operation andemotion of users, it probes into a bright, convenient, and considerate optimization&integration design proposal; by virtue of this subject practice, the paper concludeseffective experimental methods in practicing the analysis of user demand and designstrategy of solving the difficulty in diversified product functions and varied userdemands, so as to provide a new way of design thinking–"fission integration of module, flexible selection of configuration, and easy uninstalling and installing" tooptimize the new generation of mobile poli ce office terminal.
