Based on POS auxiliary aviation photogrammetry is widely used in the production practice to reduce the field works today. As the development of the global positioning system (GPS) and inertial navigation system(INS),POS system aided aviation photogrammetry is more and more good application in surveying and mapping production practice.The traditional aerial photography measurement, process trival and workload is big, the production cycle is long, need to invest a lot of manpower and material resources.POS system auxiliary aerial photographic measurement, and can be directly given aerial photo exposure instantaneous position and angle information in the aerial photography, therefore it can significantly reduce or completely without field control point measurement, which to a great extent improve the efficiency of measurement production.This Paper on the basis of predecessors’ study respectively on the inertial navigation system and the basic principle of differential GPS system, discusses the advantage of combination of POS system and combination method. In this paper, the principle of the POS auxiliary aerial triangulation, key technique and error sources are studied. Analyzed by aerial POS data aided project production Numbers are projective like work methods and processes, and combined with practical engineering, the feasibility and accuracy of the results of auxiliary aerial triangulation for validation.The main content of the paper include:1) Research and summarizes the present status of POS supplemental aerial photogrammetry, analyzing the principle of combination of POS system used in aerial survey.2) Expound POS supplemental aerial photogrammetry of two ways:direct orientation method and POS assistant aerial triangulation method, and analyzes the key technology.3) Explore aviation digital orthogonal projection methods and processes, research is mainly focused on the two kinds of aviation digital image correct method:Based on the POS data directly to correct the orthogonal projection and POS data assist aerial triangulation to correct the DOM. 4) Combined with examples to implement work POS supplemental aerial photogrammetry, explore reasonable location scheme and aerial triangulation with POS data production numbers are projective like method, analysis and summary in different circumstances as control point layout of POS data using the workflow and the applicable scope.
