Based on the theories of sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy and logging geology, seismic data, core data, logging data and reservoir characteristics’data were integrated used to study the sandy beach in shallow lake first in this paper.First of all, guided by sequence stratigraphy, destination sub-segment’s sequence-stratigraphic framework is established. In accordance with principles of unity, consistency and isochronous, the research area, a whole third-order sequence, is divided into three depositional system tracts, which are lowstand system tract, transgressive system tract and highstand system tract. Clear the stratigraphic distribution features of those system tracts. On this basis, review the palaeogeomorphology features, which is a southwest-northeast trending, northwest to southeast gentle slope, and determine the source direction by analyzing light mineral component data, and it is considered from the north-west.Secondly, based on the application of sedimentology theory drilling data and logging data, every sedimentary types and their marks in this work area can be recognized, and sedimentary characteristics of sandy beach is detailed studied. Using every single well facies analysis, comparing well facies analysis and other means to discuss each system tracts’beach bar distribution characteristics and the beach bar sedimentary models, including sandy beach bar and carbonate beach bar, and to clarify their filling patterns and developmental patterns. To discuss the influence about beach sediments from palaeogeomorphology characteristics, source of supply and relative lake level changes and other aspects.At last, Guided by the reservoir geology, combined with large amounts of analytical information, this paper studied on the influence of deposition and diagenesis on reservoir characteristics, including petrological characteristics, pore types, pore characteristics, and reservoir physical property.
