When using traditional methods to capture3-D offshore seismic data, streamer observation system used is a linear, single direction, narrow-azimuth, therefore, it is difficult to adapt to the clear imaging requirements of the complex geological in deep water to collect the information. To meet the resource assessment, looking for favorable exploration targets and increasing the rate of exploration drilling of the target area, it needs to improve the quality of seismic data in the target area urgently. So it develops from narrow-azimuth to multi-azimuth, wide-azimuth, rich-azimuth, and finally to full-azimuth coil observation system acquisition mode, this observation system increases the angle information of seismic data, and it can be able to reflect the subsurface structure better, improves the image quality greatly, and the suppression of coherent noise and multiple waves are better.This paper is based on the extensive literature survey, describes the development process of the marine observation systems acquisition, and summarized the parameters and evaluation methods of the conventional maritime observation systems, thus to study the single vessel full-azimuth coil observation system, summed up the impact of various parameters to it by test, analyzing bins attributes and digital processing, giving the coil design quality factor to evaluate coil observation system qualitatively, combined with bending height to optimize the parameters. Coil observation system mainly has two types:Spiral observation system and Dahlia observation system, this paper studies Spiral observation system.It forms a theoretical method of qualitative evaluation of coil observation system by studying the coil design quality factor, it has some theoretical guidance on domestic future maritime coil shooting.
