Macaque is a kind of primate. As we know, primate is the closest kind of creature to human. So, macaque comparing with lizard and mouse is much more valuable as a kind of subject of neural connection research. Many of the result of the researches on macaque can be used on human without much change. To make the structure of the macaque’s neuron system more clear, we do much work on macaque’s brain slices. These work contribute to further researches. The segmentation of brain slices is much more different to usual cells. Images of brain slices have many mitochondria in every neuron. That make the essential impurity of the image. More over, there are organelles in every neuron, that make segmenting neurons more difficult. Most of the segmenting methods are aimed at whole cells. Comparing with them, our work is more difficult but necessary. In this article, we have tried many methods and analysis these methods. Besides that, we improve active contour model to make it more dull to impurities.Segmentation on a single image can not make us know the whole neuron. So we have to tack and match neuron between images. Based on the work above, we proposed a method to track a neuron between brain slice scanning images. The second part of our work is aimed at the technique directly on neuron connection. DTI technique is popular in researches about neuron connection, but there is no research proves that the technique itself is suitable to the work and how the parameters of DTI should be set. To fill up the blank, we do some work by multi-scale analysis. We propose the common fibers between individual.
