TaHe Oilfield Ordovician reservoir is an unconventional type of reservoir, and it is fracture-cavity carbonate reservoir whose main reservoir space and the flow channel is emposieu and fracture formed by tectonic movement and paleokarst. The reservoir space of this type of reservoir is varied, and the sharp of reservoir space is complex, and the spatial distribution in the vertical and plane is considerable randomness. The strong heterogeneity is very difficult for exploration and development. According to the historical experience of TaHe oilfield Ordovician fracrure-cavity carbonate reservoir development practice, the reservoir demonstrated reserves is very high, but with the fast rise of water content which can not be controlled, the production of some well decline quickly, and the development effect is poor. Therefore the further research on water breakthrough time and water content changing law of fracture-cavity unit is still needed, we can grasp the changing trend in order to implement the effective preventive measures.According to the extensive literature research and analysis and the actual production data of TaHe oilfield, we sort out and analyse the geologic feature and production performance of TaHe oilfield, and establish a evaluation system which has36factors that impair the water breakthrough time. With Gray Theory the water breakthrough time of oil well can be predicted. Using the neural network system the water content changing trend of fracture-cavity unit can be fitted and forecasted. With Visual C++language, we program a software which can predict the water breakthrough time and water content changing trend of fracture-cavity reservoir, and apply it on TaHe6th block and7th block. The results show the the research is reliable, and has been praised by experts and scholars of the works.
