largest sandstone lithologic gas reservoir in China. The distribution of gas reservoir is mainly controlled by the horizontal distribution of sandstone and change of physical property, not obviously affected by structure. The effective reservoir is braided river deposition of coarse sandstone with strong heterogeneity and poor continuity, resulting in difficult developing, so it is urgent to establish a set of suitable ideas and techniques to predict fluvial facies gas bearing sand body, providing strong technical support for the development of Sulige gas field.In this paper, research of fluvial reservoir prediction in Sulige area was taken as an example. Firstly, basic geological characteristics, logging response and geophysics characteristics were analyzed, then based on high precision seismic interpretation, comprehensive utilization of drilling, logging, geology and seismic data could establish classification template of waveform characteristics. Optimized Seismic attributes analysis technology with high horizontal resolution is selected and continuous stratigraphic slice was used to show the process of river formation, diversion and disappearance in different periods, predicting provenance direction and lithologic identification. Through seismic facies analysis technique which is based on principal component, characteristics of seismic waveform were analyzed, establishing the overall variation of seismic signal and the corresponding relationship between variable distribution changes and sedimentary facies. It can predict the plane distribution of sand body and the main channel. The relationship between geostatistics inversion and reservoir and the gas bearing were used to analyze the distribution of effective reservoir and the the uncertainty in inversion results.In this research, incorporating geology, drilling, logging and seismic data and comprehensive using of attributes analysis, seismic facies and inversion technique conduct a comprehensive reservoir prediction in Sulige gas field of He8member with summing up a set of feasible comprehensive prediction method in channel sand body reservoir reservoir.
