Jinghong Jiangfeng magnetite ore deposit of Yunnan province is located in the south west of Menglong valley basin, Which is part of the Sanjiang metallogenic belt.The ore is found in the metamorphic rock originated from Damenglong Group of Proterozoic Erathe,which belongs to Marine basic volcanic jets-sedimentary-metamorphic ore deposit type magnet.Based on the comprehensive study of predecessors’ research results and the field site investigation of the deposit of the mine geological features, in-depth researched the ore controlling factors and compared metallogenic regularities, and combined with the actual mining area of related engineering layout metallogenic,prospective prediction research of mining area and the results are as follows:1.The ore bodies mostly output as layered, ribbon, lenticular, occurrence in Ptdm stratigraphic, mainly in the period of the second and third layer in the Menglong Group. Controlled by lithology and mainly occurs in the skarn. Part of the ore body is influenced by fault. Ore structure is relatively single, for half automorphic granular and allotrimorphic. Common structures of ore are block structure, disseminated structure, patch structure, banded structure and so on and mainly disseminated structure.2.Through the organize related previous studies, concluded that the ore-forming material is from upper mantle or deep crust by delta S value and deposit is made of iron basic lava spewed by crystallization differentiation magnet ore deposit formation, after the late metamorphism reformation make coarse granularity, and enrichment.3.Through the study of Jangfeng iron ore controlling factors,found metallogenic formation control by the mining area(Ptdm), lithology (skarn), structure (south east wing of Jiangfeng anticline, vertical fault F4, F10 holding area, cut off by the part of the lateral fault), wall rock alteration. Lithologic and stratigraphic is the main control factors.4.Through the study of ore-forming geological conditions of the mine area, deposit genesis and ore-controlling factors, combined with the analysis of magnetic anomalies of geophysical prospecting, the metallogenic prospective areas of Jangfeng iron ore predicted, put forward the central mining area (between10-36 prospecting line) have larger prospecting prospect, framed the area between 26-36 prospecting line for prospecting target area.
