The development of modern surveying technology, the GPS measurement technology is widely applied in all kinds of measuring work. But because of the characteristics of GPS, the measurement precision can achieve higher GPS observation data in the plane, but because the GPS is the measurement of the geodetic height data, we used in the practical work is normal data, which makes GPS difficult to meet the needs of users in terms of elevation measurement. Aiming at this problem, a systematic study of GPS height fitting principle, analyzes all kinds of fitting model, discusses the influence of GPS elevation error and correction method and accuracy assessment standards, combined with the actual work, the analysis of GPS elevation fitting method in the practical work application case.The thesis firstly introduces the related concepts of GPS elevation fitting and the research situation at home and abroad. And discusses the principle of GPS height fitting, GPS fitting method was analyzed, including isoline method; earth model method; analytical method, principle, analyzed the analytical method for GPS elevation fitting. Then, the influence of GPS elevation error and correction method and the accuracy evaluation criteria of it, this is for GPS elevation fitting can be used for an assessment of the actual work. Combined with practical work, make a concrete analysis of GPS height fitting case Baolongshan area, good control of error factors in the process of observation, occupy a certain proportion in the known standard point number and uniform distribution case, elevation of the observation points in line with the standard requirements, can be applied in practical work.
