Taking the gas field S of Central Asia as a case study, this paper carry out a series of studies about the development of horizontal well of carbonate gas field, which aim at the realistic problems of development experiences and optimization. Theoretical Studies are done to study the percolation and pressure drop characteristics of horizontal well, then establish the model by using technology of multi segment well and analyse the production characteristics of it. On the basis of the geological data, experimental data and dynamic data, numerical simulation of the actual area are accomplish to optimize horizontal length and the height of water avoidance from the technical and economic perspectives, and then carry out the analysis and optimization of the shape and the parameters on gas well pattern. Finally, concluded a reasonable horizontal length and the height of water avoidance of horizontal well, obtain a reasonable deployment scheme of well pattern. Consequently, summarize a set of theory and method about the development of horizontal wells, which provide the basis for the efficient development of gas field. Simultaneously, this paper study production dynamics of single gas field, describe the relationship between the gas production rate and stable production period by using the theory of gas field engineering combined with numerical simulations. The research deep the understanding of gas production rate and stable production period, obtain analytical expressions of the quantitative relationship. The results are as follows:(1) The MSW model is established by using technology of multi segment well, which analyze production characteristics of horizontal well. Then conduct the optimization of horizontal length and the height of water,avoidance from the technical and economic perspectives. Finally, consider the horizontal length is appropriate in the600meters and the height of water avoidancea that avoid the half gas layer is better.(2) The theoretical research is conducted for different types of well pattern, using a variety of methods to determine reasonable well spacing, studying the parallel well pattern and staggered well pattern of horizontal well which depend on numerical simulation, and then the different well pattern deployment are analyzed and compared according to the geological characteristics of the gas field, finally the development characteristics and the optimal deployment of different schemes are achieved.(3) The single well numerical simulation is conducted on different pressure system of gas field, depending on the gas field fluid data, the distribution of gas and water, pressure data and dynamic data, combined with the theory of gas field engineering, the quantitative relationship between the rate of gas production and stable production period is different in different development stages:when the gas field pressure is higher than13.79MPa, qD and1/(1-Rpsp) is hyperbolic relationship approximatively; when the field pressure is lower than13.79MPa, qD and(1-Rpsp)2is linear relationship approximatively.In general, through the comprehensive research on the well type and well pattern of gas field, the understanding of the dynamics analysis of single gas field, then summarize a set of optimization technology for the development, and it is of great theoretical and practical value that the results will be applied in the development practice of the gas field timely to solve the problem on the efficient development.
