Owing to their wide applications in oxygen sensors, multi-layer ceramic capacitors(MLCC), positive temperature coefficient resistors (PTCR), etc., doped SrTiO3andBaTiO3are one of the most important electroceramics. Perovskite structure can toleratehigh concentrations of defects, for example, oxygen vacancies, electrons and holes,without changing its structure. The defect reactions and reaction parameters of SrTiO3andBaTiO3, published in literatures, over the doping range from acceptor to donor,temperature range from room temperature to>1500K and oxygen partial pressure rangeof10-25to1bar are summarized in this work, and a Windows based DefectChemCalprogram is developed. With the program, we can calculate the defect concentrations andthe electrical properties of acceptor and donor-doped SrTiO3and BaTiO3, and the validityof the program is demonstrated by comparing the calculation results and experimentalresults.
