The treatment for oily wastewater is one of the most typical case ofheterogeneous separation of liquid-liquid-solid system, and has been a very toughproblem in all kinds of industries. The designing and developing of a kind of highlyefficient and low energy-costed oil-water separation equipment which canintelligently adapt the handling capacity and oil-gas-water ratio is very urgent andsignificant to saving energy and protecting environment.This paper mainly studied the intelligent self-adaption horizontal oil-waterseparation equipment with inclined harmonic corrugated sheets, simulated theinfluence to internal fluid field which is caused by three kind of internals by usingCFD method to instruct the optimization and design of the equipment and improve theseparation efficiency.Four inlet components with different fractional hole area were simulated, theresults showed that the inlet component with30%fractional hole area can take fulladvantage of the effect of gravitational energy dissipation and water scrubbing andachieve certain pre-separation effect; three different kinds of grid-type flow regulatinginternals were studied, and the velocity non-uniformity near the position of flowregulating internal was used to study the regulating effect, the results showed that theflow regulating internals can effectively reduce the axial velocity non-uniformity ofthe two-phase fluid, and create a good environment for the separation of oil and water;a kind of special structure of harmonic corrugated sheets which is adaptive to thephase separation of laminar flow fluid, and the development and design of a pilotscale oil-water separator was accomplished, the installation and settlement of thecorrugated sheets was solved; finally, a three-dimensional model of the separationequipment with inclined harmonic corrugated sheets was created, and was used tostudy the flow field inside the corrugated sheets and the separation efficiency of theequipment, the results showed that the velocity of the two-phase fluid alternates whenflowing through the corrugated sheets, and reaches to the highest at the crests and thetroughs. This velocity distribution can create pulsated-flow which is helpful toincrease the collision probability of the oil drops, therefore, enhance the oil fraction ofthe outlet oil product. In addition, a control system which consists of magnetostriction liquidometer,intelligent control instrument and actuator was designed which can monitor theoil-water interface on-line and keep the oil product in a high level.
