The administration of Tahrim basin has successively supplied ecological water conveyance downstream for many times since the launch of the Tahe comprehensive treatment engineering. It has played a vital role to restore the vegetation along and curb desertification. However in the water delivery scheduling of the Tahe ecological, due to tahe ecological water monitoring scope, long routes, and inconvenience in parts of the coast traffic, rugged geographical conditions, it’s often encountered in the process of unknown the delivery head evolution or the running water situation, so that the Tahe ecological water conveyance effectiveness evaluation index of water Taitema lake changes can not be timely monitoring.Therefore, the use of satellite remote sensing technology for ecological monitoring in Tarim River Basin water remote sensing, remote sensing research and development of eco-water monitoring information system based on GIS and remote sensing technology, to grasp the ecological water information to improve water resource management decision-making, such as water regulation and flood control, for comprehensive management Plata Basin is very necessary and very urgent.Summarized the present situation on domestic and foreign research of ecological environment using satellite remote sensing for monitoring technology, combined with the actual demand of Tarim River ecological water monitoring, beginning in 2012, in the Tarim River ecological water process, with the help of HJ1-A/B satellite images to ecological water in Tarim River basin monitoring remote sensing, and the development of ecological water remote sensing monitoring information system based on GIS and remote sensing techniques analysis on water head, realize the dynamic monitoring, running water diffuse the remote sensing dynamic monitoring and the Taitema lake surface area change dynamic monitoring and ecological water monitoring by remote sensing information display, query and contrast, provide information support for water to Tarim River flood control and water resources management and scheduling. Specifically, this article has done the research work of the following aspects:(1)the collection and collation of remote sensing data in history:Complete collecting and sorting of remote sensing data of Tarim River in history Set up foundation work for long time series of remote sensing information search and comparisons.(2) The use of massive image management:Our system uses a mosaic dataset (Mosaic Dataset) grid with advanced query capabilities and real-time processing functions, which realize the store, manage and publish or other issues of ecological water monitoring and HJ satellite images.(3) Glance over the interpreted results quickly:The system uses ArcGIS Server products. Through WFS, WMS, video services, users could view basic geographic information of Tarim Basin, video surveillance and monitoring results on browser.(4) Comparative analysis of results:The WEBGIS technology provides comparative results of multi-day water remote sensing images and water head, running water diffuse, Taitema lake surface area, and interpretation of forest and grassland ecology. Users can analyze diffuse water running and the changes in the multi-day Taitema lake area directly and intuitively, which provides a basis for decision making.(5) Information services:Provide with important projects Plata Basin, Management Unit, basic geographic information, remote sensing, interpreting the results and other information for users, and these information can overlay or can be performed on two dimensional topography platform display, to provide users with an intuitive visual form of integrated service information for decision-making and water effect water providing information to support the assessment.
