Double metal composite pipe is a kind of novel composite pipe, it’s made of two different materials of metal pipe that combined with together tightly through a variety of deformation or connection technology. Compared to the traditional single metal pipe, double metal composite pipe makes full use of the excellent properties of two kinds of metal pipe and complements their shortcomings, not only has the properties of high strength, corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and reduce the use amount of precious metal, so the cost is greatly reduced at the same time. as a more ideal pipe substitutes, double metal composite pipe are widely used in petroleum, chemical, construction, electric power and other industries.The main content of this paper includes the following sections:1、In this paper, we design a set of double metal composite pipe extrusion molding device. In order to determine the design strength of screw and nut in the device, we use the jack to analog extrusion process so that we can get the maximum extrusion force. And we prepared double metal composite pipe with the length of 2m successfully using the device.2、Designed the pull-out experiment to test the bonding strength of bimetal composite pipe. By comparing with the intensity of the industry requirements, it’s indicated that the combined strength of the bimetallic composite tube prepared by different size of the extrusion die can reach the standard of different industry.3、Effect of plastic deformation on the corrosion resistance of the base tube and the liner materials was tested by using the potentiodynamic polarization technique and electrochemical impedance method. The deformation reduces the corrosion resistance of the base tube and the liner materials obviously, and the corrosion rate is accelerated by the deformation correspondingly. So, we should control the deformation of the base pipe and the liner pipe.4、Observed the effect of different tensile deformation microstructure of the base tube material using the metallurgical microscope, and we find that the ferrite grain area of thebase pipe material microstructure gradually decreases with the deformation, the corrosion resistance of the base tube becomes was reduced at the same time.
