| LCP liquid crystal polymer is a novel polymer plastic, the material has easy stereotypes,the formation of product dimensional stability, low coefficient of linear expansion and other characteristics。LCP guidance optical cable is the liquid crystal polymer extrusion on the surface of fiber produced, liquid crystal polymer as the strengthening layer can improve the tensile strength of the optical cable。In this paper, on the basis of researching the material characteristics of LCP, in the theoretical analysis the main factors affecting the cable diameter and fiber tensile strength of the small-diameter liquid crystal polymer fiber optic cable in the extrusion molding process。 These factors include structural parameters of the mandrel and the die sets, the pressure fluctuations in the extrusion process, temperature characteristics of the liquid crystal polymer, pulling speed of the fiber。 On the basis extrusion process theory, through a lot of tests to optimize the process parameters, through the experimental data, further analysis of the relationship between the cable diameter, fiber strength and its influencing factors。Basically realized the extrusion of small diameter, high strength LCP guidance optical cable。The experimental results show that the change of die sleeve aperture and die sleeve bearing diameter have a great impact on the diameter of the cable, add a melt pump to ensure the molten LCP at stable pressure and flow to the delivery head, and improves the uniformity of the diameter of the cable extrusion process stability, tensile strength of extruded cable affecting factors, liquid crystal polymer molten state, the angle between the core and the outer cone angle die suites, the pulling speed play a decisive role. |
