| At present, the energy conservation and emissions reduction is mainly manifested in the hospitality industry in hardware technology, software and services. But scholars have not reached a common understanding about the relationship between the energy conservation, emissions reduction and its performance. There is no clear answer about the main factors those can impact on performance. This author did an exploratory study in view of energy conservation in the domestic hotel. He wanted to raise awareness of energy conservation and emission reduction and promote the implementation of China’s hotel industry energy-saving emission reduction task through exploring the relationship between the energy conservation, emissions reduction and its performance.This author mainly introduced the background and significance of this paper, analyzed the research status at home and abroad, summarized energy conservation and emissions reduction, and introduced the concept of energy conservation and emissions reduction, and reviewed related literature about energy reduction, hotel performance and so on. This paper analyzed the current situation of hotels, then explained the importance and necessity of energy conservation and emissions reduction. The author put forward three views:1) Energy conservation is the main way to address energy and environmental issues; 2)Energy conservation is an effective way to the hotel industry to achieve cost efficiency;3) Energy conservation is the inevitable choice of hotel industry adapt to the needs of green. On the other hand, this paper summarized and compared the energy saving mode of some departments those need a lot of energy, such as housekeeping, food and beverage and engineering department, then did the empirical research of the relationship between the hotel performance and the energy saving and emissions reduction.Data base is formed by the way of random sampling in five of hotels, Testing whether sample distribution meets practical situation, and data is suitable for following analysis or not comes first. The second step is the confirmatory factor analysis of kernel variables in the hotel performance and the energy saving and emissions reduction. The last but most important is hypothesis and conceptual model testing. Hypothesis testing shows that the hotel hydropower energy control, materials and recyclable energy saving, energy saving performance management were significantly positively correlated with hotel direct and indirect performance. However, Energy-saving equipment and technology is not related to the hotel direct performance, and the relationship with indirect performance is exactly the opposite situation.Finally, in order to provide the impetus for the hotel energy saving in theory, and provide operational advice to the hotel energy saving in practice, the paper proposed inspiration from the hotel management and hydropower energy control, materials and recyclable energy saving, energy saving management, etc. |
