Hydrotalcites not only have high surface area but also have the character of solid base. The hydrotalcites can be used as support of Pd catalysts to make bi-functionalized materials. The bi-functionalized materials have the characters of high selectivity, high conversion, reusable and renewable property, less pollution to environment, easy separation of products and low in corrosion to equipments. So we can say the bi-functionalized materials have great potential for industrial application. In this paper, the preparation of Mg-Al hydrotalcites and Mg-Zr hrdrotalcites are studied. Mg-Al hydrotalcites and Mg-Zr hrdrotalcites to be used as support of Pd catalysts to make bi-functionalized are also studied.In this thesis, the preparation methods of Mg-Al hydrotalcites and Mg-Zr hrdrotalcites have been firstly introduced. Mg-Al hydrotalcites are prepared via co-precipitation of Mg and Al salts(nitrates) at fixed pH(NaOH and Na2CO3) under stirring. Supported materials were prepared using incipient wetness impregnation method. The bi-functionalized materials were analyzed by XRD, BET, TPD(Temperature Programmed Desorption), TEM(Transmission Electron Microscopy), and so on.The Mg-Al hydrotalcites prepared were used as the solid base for the alkylation of acetophenone with butanol in water through the experiment; Mg-Al hydrotalcites have high basic strength. Supported material was prepared using incipient wetness impregnation method. The materials made not only have the character of solid base but also have the character of Pd catalysts. The supported material can be used as bi-functionalized material in the reaction for the alkylation of acetophenone with butanol in water. But there are some problems of the supported material. For example, when the temperature is high supported material will become instability in the water and the yield of reactant is not very high.Immobilized Pd films on Mg-Zr hydrotalcite by impregnating method to preparation Pd/(Mg-Zr) bi-functionalizied material. The Pd/(Mg-Zr) bi-functionalizied material can be used in the reaction of benzyl alcohol and aniline, benzyl alcohol and 4-toluidine, p-tolymenthanol and aniline, and so on. The Pd/(Mg-Zr) bi-functionalized material shows high selectivity and high activity in that reactions. Through optimizing the reaction conditions, the yield of aniline in the reaction of benzyl alcohol and aniline arrived at 94%, the selectivity of principal is 90%, and the selectivity of by-product is only 10 %. The experiment indicate that the Pd/(Mg-Zr) bi-functional material can be steady in the air. Reusable and renewable property is very well in the experiment text. Pd/(Mg-Zr) have high catalytic activity, high selectivity, can be steady in the air reusable and renewable property, less pollution to environment, easy separation of products and low in corrosion to equipment.Finally, this paper has made the introduction of immobilized Ir films on Mg-Zr hydrotalcite. Use the Ir/(Mg-Zr) as bi-functionalized material in the reaction of ammonia and benzyl alcohol.This paper proves that the bi-functionalized catalyst can be used in the organic synthesis reactions. The work provides the base for the industrial application.
