Ultra high pressure throttle valve is the indispensable equipment in the high pressure and high production process, at the same time, the sealing performance determines the quality of the products, and ensure the safe operation of the throttle valve, and the repeated use of throttle valve seal is not consumable, technology has always been foreign manufacturers, products has always been the absolute monopoly.The spring energized seal using for the throttle valve in this gas field studying by this paper is Dynamic Sealing Device. The main structure of spring energized seal is composed of a high performance spring and sealing ring made by polymer material. The sealing ring of this type is simulated by finite element method under different working states. Studying the sealing performance,can improve the sealing reliability, and provide basis for design, expand its application field, has vital significance.This article starting with the sealing principle, analyzes the fluid static pressure sealing principle and dynamic pressure sealing principle. After testing three different modified material of the tension and compression, obtained the mechanical properties parameters of materials. Established the finite element calculation model of the spring energized seal The seal was studied by numerical simulation in the static working condition. Analysis the distribution of stress and strain after installation and applying of ultra high pressure(105MPa). Gained the distribution law of the contact stress and the contact width in the static sealing condition. Analysis the impact law of compression and work pressure in the static sealing performance for the spring energized seal.The main factor influence of spring energized seal is working parameters and seals structural parameters. This article simulated the using process velocity movement of axis、the contact surface of the friction factor the seal anterior lip and the posterior lip by the finite element numerical simulation. Find out the influence law of working parameters and structure parameters on sealing performance. Obtained a better seal structure parameters.After theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, design and manufacture the better seal structure. In order to carry out the experiment on the sealing products and simulate the actual working condition of the throttle valve, the inspection seal ring frock is designed and manufactured. After a multiple comparison test for the sealing ring, the results show that,only the materials of adding10%carbon fiber Teflon can be used in such ultra high pressure in the three different modified materials. The sealing ring of the developed was passed157.5MPa hydraulic pressure experiment and105MPa pneumatic experiment.In this article, the development spring energized seal of ultra high pressure trialing in the gas field is perfect, getting the high praise by the relevant departments.
