A stable and reliable dryer of papermaking is quite important for papermaking industry, which ensures a high quality of products. Traditional dryer adopt methods of steam heating and oil heating to dry the paper, which has disadvantages such as low heating temperature and heating efficiency. The induction heating system is environmental friendly and has a high energy utilization rate, by which people can get a higher heating temperature. It’s widely used in papermaking industry.An induction heating system based on single chip was designed in this article. Through the design of hardware and the optimization of software, a high control quality was obtained. The design of hardware included built-in induction heater, the selection of single chip and the design of a control circuit based on single chip; The software optimization included the phase locked loop of induction heating power supply and the heating control of dryer. This system was stable and effective and was widely used in actual working conditions.
