| Nowadays,85%of Zinc is prepared by hydrometallurgy. In the prosess of hydrometallurgy, Reducing the power consumption of zinc smelting technology is the key to reduce zinc electrowinning cell voltage, the key to reducing zinc electrowinning cell voltage is to reduce the oxygen evolution potential. How to reduce the oxygen evolution potential is grave concerned and a major scientific issues to be solved in the field. It is also one of the core issues in the long term. If breakthrough is achieved in this field, preparation of high-performance electrode materials is essential.Ce doped with Ti/PbO2-TiO2 anodesã€Ti/PbO2-Ce02-TiO2 anodes, Ti/PbO2-graphite powder-TiO2ã€Ti/PbO2-graphite powder-TiO2-CeO2 which were used for zinc electrowinning anodes was prepared in this experiment by DC plating method. Electrochemical tests were did under the conditions of 45 ℃〠50 g/LZn2+ã€150g/L H2SO4.The results showed that electro-catalytic activity of all the titanium based anodes were better than Ti/PbO2 electrode. Oxygen evolution potential were all reduced. These titanium-based lead dioxide electrodes which are under optimal conditions were done SEM and XRD tests. The results showed that the surface of the grain is more refined. The specific surface area of the anode is increased. Ce doped with Ti/PbO2-TiO2 anodes and Ti/PbO2-graphite powder-TiO2-CeO2 anodes was more dense than the others by SEM and XRD analysis after 24 hours of electrode polarization, The amount of PbOx of the two electrodes was large.Under the conditions of 45℃,50g/LZn2+150g/LH2SO4〠current density of 500A/m2, could do simulated zinc electrowinning experiments. Then cell voltage, current efficiency of Ti/PbO2 anode under the optimum conditions was tested. The lowest cell voltage of these anode is Ti/PbO2-TiO2-graphite powder-CeO2,is 2.85 V. The highest current efficiency of the anode were Ti/PbO2-TiO2-graphite powder-CeO2 and Ce doped with Ti/PbO2-TiO2,the result was 94.2%-96%. Anodic corrosion was accelerated for life-time test under the conditions of 45℃〠50g/LZn2+.150g/L H2SO4ã€current density of 1.5 A/cm2.
