| Zhundong coal, with abundant reserves, low ignition temperature, high burning rate, high combustion economy and low emissions, is an excellent power coal and designed to meet our energy reduction targets specially. But at the same time Zhundong coal’s slagging is also serious, so a lot of the local power station boiler has to burn Zhundong coal with high ash melting point coals, and the combustion and slagging characteristics of mixed coal affect the power plant boiler’s safety and economy. This paper studies the combustion and slagging characteristics of Zhundong coal and mixed coal, provides the scientific guidance for using Zhundong coal.First, mix Zhundong coal with Heishanã€Houxiaã€Kuangou respectively. The ratio is 50:50ã€60:40ã€75:25ã€90:10 respectively. This paper studies the combustion and pyrolysis characteristics of four kinds of coal and mixed coal by thermal gravimetric analysis. It calculates different proportion of blended coal’s ignition point, burn resistance, volatile index by TG-DTG curve and the activation energy by integral method.Next it obtains four kinds of coals’ ash melting point and ash composition by ash melting point detector and ICP method. It discriminates the slagging of blended coal by calculating ash melting pointã€B/Aã€SiO2/Al2O3ã€G and composite index by the weighted average method. It obtains the influence of different proportion of combustion and slagging and the factors affecting the blending slagging. The results show that it has the highest safety when the ratio of Zhundong coal fixed with Heishanã€Kuangouã€Houxia is is 75:25ã€50:50ã€50:50 respectively.At last, it makes a co-firing test through a 350 MW self-provided power plant. The thermodynamic calculations by the Thermal Calculation Standards show that when the ratio between Zhundong coal and Houxia coal is 50:50, the flue gas temperature is lower than the ash melting point temperature at the center position of the water wall. The results provide important reference data for the use of Zhundong coal. |
